Dr. John Bissell

Offering an entire range of optical and low vision solutions, Dr. John Bissell is trained in the most recent technological advancements. He uses his skills to help patients who have exhausted their options by offering them rehabilitation services for their optical care.

After graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, he completed his residency with a focus toward treating ocular disease and low vision, as well as primary care. He went on to practice in Bakerstown, Pennsylvania and obtained membership to the following organizations:

Pennsylvania Optometric Association
Western Pennsylvania Optometric Association
International Academy of Low Vision Specialists
Dr. Bissell serves patients who suffer from diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, optic nerve disorders, and retinitis pigmentosa, as well as other vision related diseases and disorders. Through the use of specialized magnifiers, microscopes and telescopes, he is able to offer more independence to those who are no longer able to read, drive, or see their loved one’s faces.

Upon graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University), Dr. Leslie B. Miller went on to perform her externships at the Optometric Center of Maryland, the Veterans Administration Hospital at Loch Raven which is located in Baltimore, and the William Feinbloom Low Vision Center of the Eye Institute. She also worked with a private practice during her externship that specialized in contact lenses.

She went into private practice after completing her Doctorate of Optometry and is a board-certified optometrist serving the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. Miller treats patients with varying degrees of limited vision. She offers progressive assistance to those who suffer from glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye care, as well as offering diagnosis and management methods to cope with these diseases.

As a Fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists, she offers the latest in low vision technology. Dr. Miller takes great pride in offering the latest in prescription devices for those suffering from limited or low vision.
