Drusen Test

Early signs of macular degeneration include yellow deposits called drusen. Their size varies, but all indicate that the macula is becoming thinner. Visual Field Test

Visual field testing measures the peripheral (side) vision as an essential indicator of overall eye health, helping detect changes and identify whether disease or injury has compromised it. There are two kinds of visual field tests: Humphrey and Goldmann. Both can be conducted automatically in darkened rooms to reduce light interference; random lights of various intensities will flash across your peripheral field of vision while you sit with a chin rest a large bowl-like instrument or computer screen, prompting you to press a button when they appear in your peripheral field of vision – press a button when seen!
