Whatever magnifying need you have, Eschenbach has an Eschenbach solution available!

Mobilux series hand-held magnifiers now feature LED illumination. This alternative light source creates a much whiter spectrum and extends battery life by five times more compared to conventional incandescent bulbs.

Magnification

The 1511 Mobilux series of illuminated hand-held magnifiers now comes with LED illumination. Utilizing SMD LED (light emitting diode) bulbs provides whiter spectrum light at lower costs than incandescent bulbs and last five times longer on batteries; also included with small yellow filters to soften its hue and soften color of light output. Other features include an easy-to-operate light switch and eyelet for lanyard, 3-tone filter options for each light color filter, slip-on protective case, slip-on protective case as well as 2AA batteries.

Eyecare professionals trust Eschenbach products when providing low vision solutions to their patients and clients, while hundreds of thousands of consumers rely on our magnifiers to maintain independence and enjoy a better quality of life.

Light Source

Magnifying lenses or sets of lenses depend heavily on their illumination to function correctly. LED light sources offer greater brightness while emitting less heat; making LEDs an appealing choice for industrial applications and cutting replacement costs.

As important as lamp type is color temperature of magnifying lens light. Illuminated magnifiers with higher Kelvin temperatures tend to produce brighter and whiter illuminations compared to lower ones; industrial and medical applications, in particular, often prefer whiter illumination as this offers greater contrast and clarity for viewing objects being observed.

Illuminated magnifiers come with either round or rectangular lenses. Prior to the late 1980s, most illuminated magnifiers used circular lenses as they were relatively inexpensive and compatible with fluorescent light sources of circular shape. Rectangular lenses offer greater field of view when using higher magnification levels than their round counterparts.

Magnifying lamp lights come in various types and sizes of power output and arm configurations tailored specifically for their users’ needs. Some designs allow users to hold them with just fingers or both hands, while others feature adjustable arms to maximize comfort and ease of use.

Finding an illuminated magnifier requires striking a balance among magnification level, field of view, focal length and working distance. Assembly/rework applications tend to benefit more from higher magnification levels with wider fields of view than inspection work that calls for closer working distances.

Many illuminated magnifiers are designed and engineered to minimize electrical discharge potential (EDP), providing essential protection for delicate electronic circuit boards and sensitive components from damage or oxidation caused by static electricity. To do this effectively, usually polymers or dissipative paints are added to lenses and metal components to disperse charges that might damage sensitive materials; and magnifiers must pass stringent ESD certification testing standards in order to qualify as ESD-Safe products.

Ease of Use

All Mobilux LED hand-held magnifiers are simple to operate, featuring an easy-to-use light switch and lanyard hole for user convenience. When not in use, their handy case protects it while an aspheric PXM light lens with Cera-Tec coating provides distortion-free imaging while their battery compartment can easily be reached (2 AAA batteries included).

LED illumination uses a step-up converter that ensures constant brightness over time, helping reduce usage costs by prolonging battery life and providing consistent illumination when batteries run low. This step ensures cost efficiency as it maintains consistent illumination even when batteries run low.

Mobilux LED series of illuminated hand-held magnifiers is an excellent alternative to traditional stand magnifiers for patients who cannot comfortably hold onto it due to age-related shaking or medical conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. LED illumination offers brighter reading light with significantly longer useful life than incandescent bulbs, plus three distinct light color filters to provide enhanced visual comfort. LED light sources are far more energy-efficient than the XENON used in traditional stand magnifiers, providing distortion free images through aspheric PXM lenses coated with Cera-Tec (r) for distortion-free imaging. Battery compartment is easily accessible using high quality springs; two AAA batteries included! Furthermore, Mobilux LED features an optional segment-shaped swivel lens for line reading and improved line following.

Warranty

Mobilux series hand magnifiers utilize SMD LED (light emitting diode) lighting, which many patients appreciate due to its bright white spectrum and long service life. As a result, battery usage is reduced up to five times compared with incandescent bulbs while brightness remains equal or greater than ever – and two attachable filters allow users to customize color temperature for 3 different illumination options. Furthermore, voltage fluctuation is ensured through an active miniature switching regulator so as to maintain constant illumination levels.

Mobilux handheld magnifiers feature ergonomic handles with large, easy-to-operate ON/Off light switches; high quality springs for easier battery changing (2 AAA batteries included); and a slip-on protective case. Mobilux LED hand-held magnifiers can be used for hands-free reading and writing as well as performing tasks such as threading needles and filing nails. Mobilux LED hand-held magnifiers feature various specifications designed to guarantee that users have an optimal viewing distance when using them in either upright mode with Mobase stands or when placed inside their case, so that users can focus solely on the task at hand without fear of losing focus due to trembling and losing focus. This enables users to stay focused without being distracted by trembling and loss of concentration.
