Eschenbach Binoculars Review

Table of Contents

Eschenbach has long been renowned for their magnifying glasses and other specialty optical instruments, but they had limited success selling binoculars until 2014 when they launched the Trophy series of compact mid sized roof prism binoculars.

These high-quality binoculars are lightweight yet feature quality optics and come packaged in a leather pouch – offering a good alternative to more costly models with similar features.

Magnification

Magnification refers to how much an image is magnified. The higher its magnification is, the more details you’re likely to see; for example, 8×42 Eschenbach binoculars allow users to observe birds flying by and study each feather as it passes over its body; this makes them ideal for bird watching, hunting and other outdoor activities.

This company specializes in optical devices such as binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, theatre glasses and meteorological instruments. Their headquarters are in Nuremberg, Germany while they also have subsidiaries in Austria, Switzerland, France Italy The Netherlands Japan. Furthermore, their products have been exported to more than 80 countries with over 550 employees located around Germany alone.

Eschenbach binoculars feature high-quality optics and lightweight designs that make them easy to handle. Their compact form, anti-slip rubber coating and nitrogen filling prevent internal moisture misting while their Adventure D series binoculars offer vibrant true color images for birding or other nature observation, with soft carrying bags and lens caps included for each series.

Eschenbach Optik 8×42 Adventure D-series binoculars feature an innovative prism system that uses roof edges without phase correction for improved image quality while remaining much lighter than conventional porros. Equipped with BAK4 prisms for crisp, clear images; twist-up eyecups and diopter adjustment rings allow wearers to compensate for prescription changes; the center-focused design comes equipped with neck strap and neoprene carrying case, making these an excellent choice for outdoor enthusiasts and can be purchased through Amazon or other retailers online stores.

Lenses

Eschenbach binoculars feature BAK-4 phase corrected prisms to produce a bright and true image, ideal for birding, nature observation or all-around viewing. Their twist-up eyecups enable glasses wearers to use them comfortably; additionally a diopter adjustment ring allows users to compensate for eyeglass prescriptions; plus lightweight construction complete with a neoprene carrying bag completes their package.

These tiny German pocket binoculars offer all of the ergonomic features found on higher-end models, including comfortable eyecups and an effortless focusing wheel. Furthermore, they come complete with a sturdy leather storage pouch for convenient portability – ideal for travelers or anyone who simply wants something small enough to bring with them wherever they go! However, do not expect these models to perform at Leica or Swarovski standards as expected – you may be disappointed.

These ultra compact cameras fold down to only 10cm long when folded up, making them an ideal fit for handbags and rucksacks. Their barrels feature light armouring in a leatherette finish while the chassis appears to be constructed of beautifully machined aluminium. Their retro aesthetic makes for pleasant touch experience, yet their light design fits easily in palm of hand and they focus quickly too!

Lightweight

If you are searching for an inexpensive but quality binocular that provides exceptional optics without breaking the bank, the Eschenbach Farlux Selector D 8.5×45 Roof Prism Binocular should be at the top of your list. Extremely light in weight yet weatherproof, its optics offer bright, sharp images while boasting impressive eye relief – not to mention offering an extremely wide field of view!

The Eschenbach Club 8x 20 binoculars are an excellent compact pocket binocular solution, boasting many of the ergonomic features found on larger instruments, including an accurate dioptre system and focusing wheel. Plus, this model comes complete with its own leather pouch for convenient carrying! Unfortunately, however, its performance doesn’t compare as favorably to some of its counterparts such as Leica Ultravid BL pocket binoculars that offer lighter optics and are much lighter overall.

Eschenbach Optik, founded over 100 years ago in Germany, is renowned for the quality and compact size of their binoculars and other optical products. They have established themselves as leaders in this industry. Brand is known for their range of binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, theater glasses and meteorological equipment which is sold throughout most European markets as well as having an established presence in the US market. As part of their selection, Adventure D-Series binoculars feature multicoated optics and BAK-4 prisms for optimal viewing experiences, twist-up eyecups to accommodate eyeglasses or sunglasses, dioptre adjustment to correct eyewear prescriptions and an included neoprene carrying bag and lens caps for convenience.

Waterproof

For sailing, hunting or birding adventures, Eschenbach binoculars offer waterproof protection from the elements while still offering crisp images. Some models even come equipped with waterproof housing to guard against heavy rainfall or snowfall; and they come in various magnifications and features to meet your individual needs.

One of the Eschenbach range’s most acclaimed models, the Regatta 8×42 B is an ideal companion for sailors and outdoor enthusiasts. Lightweight yet elegantly designed with multi-coated optics for maximum field of view. Suitable for design-conscious individuals looking for high-quality binoculars that combine function and style.

The Eschenbach Club 8 x 20 offers many ergonomic features typically associated with higher-end pocket binoculars, such as comfortable eyecups and an easy focusing wheel. Unfortunately, its performance wasn’t quite up to par compared with some competitors; for example, some internal reflections were stronger than the Zeiss Terra ED 8×25 and its Moon imagery wasn’t as clear compared with Leica Trinovid 8 x40 BC models.

Though imperfect, Eschenbach Clubs still provide an outstanding experience and are an excellent option for birding or nature observation. For brighter images with more eye relief, full-sized roof prism binoculars should be considered; those receiving an iF Design Award have proven this.

Price

Eschenbach binoculars are an exceptionally affordable choice, even their top-of-the-range models can be purchased for under $1800 American, making them highly suitable for bird watchers and nature observers. One such pair, such as their Farlux Selector D 8.5×45 models are of exceptional quality for their price point.

Eschenbach Optik GmbH boasts an illustrious history dating back to 1913 when Josef Eschenbach established it in Nuremberg with the purpose of setting up a wholesale business for optical articles and drawing instruments. Today, over 550 employees work for Eschenbach Optik GmbH worldwide as the company manufactures an assortment of visual aids including binoculars, spotting scopes, theatre glasses and meteorological instruments.

The Eschenbach Club 8x 20 binocular is an ergonomic pocket binocular featuring excellent eyecups and a smooth focusing wheel, among other amenities. However, this compact binocular should not be expected to rival something like Leica or Swarovski models in terms of features or functionality.
