Dr. Marianne McDaniel

Dr. Marianne McDaniel obtained her degree from the Southern College of Optometry in 1992 and has been in primary eye care practice for over 24 years in the Metro East area. After intense training with Dr. Richard Shuldiner, a renowned Low Vision Diplomat and founder of International Academy of Low Vision Specialists (IALVS), Dr. McDaniel became a member of the IALVS group.

Using the most up to date technologies, Dr. McDaniel provides individualized care for each patient. She treats those who suffer from diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and cataract conditions. By offering custom specialized glasses that utilize prismatics and bioptic telescopes, she can give her patients back some measure of independence.

After being treated by Dr. McDaniel, many patients are able to return to activities they enjoy like playing cards, reading, watching TV, seeing the faces of loved ones and even driving. She prides herself on the fact that she can help to improve people’s quality of life when they thought there were no more options. Dr. Ronald Weingart

After receiving his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1985, Dr. Ronald Weingart partnered with Dr. Chula to open their own practice, Scott Eye Care, in 1991.

Dr. Weingart has served as a member for such organizations as the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA), President of the Fox Valley Optometric Society in 1996, President of the Illinois Chapter of Volunteer Optometric Service for Humanity (VOSH) from 2000-2001. He also served his country as a Major in the United States Air Force for 22 years.

During Dr. Weingart’s time with the charity organization VOSH, he and Dr. Chula have traveled abroad to several foreign countries to offer Developmental Vision Therapy to those unable to find low vision services in their area.
