A series of contrast-enhancing filters created especially for low vision patients is now available to low vision practitioners thanks to a collaboration between Eschenbach and Dioptics Medical Products. Consumers may only get these comprehensive protection filters from eyecare and rehabilitation specialists. The color is Amber, and they are of a medium size. There are three frame sizes available for Solar Shield® contrast-enhancing filters: Small, Medium (Oval), and Large. The medium and large sizes will easily fit over a patient’s conventional eyeglasses, while the tiny frame will accommodate patients who have smaller eyewear or who do not use any eyewear at all. Rx frames that are not larger than 5 3/8″w x 2 3/8″h (138mm x 59mm) may be worn over medium (oval) frames. B = 46mm; A = 59mm. The medium range blue light filtering provided by the orange polycarbonate lens is excellent for enhancing contrast and enhancing visual acuity. 100% of UVA/UVB and 100% of visible light up to 511 nm are blocked by it.
