The lighted hand-held magnifiers of the Mobilux® line have powerful LED lighting. A different light source that many patients prefer is SMD LED (light emitting diode) lighting because of its much brighter spectrum and longer usable life. The batteries last five times as long when used with LED lights as they do with incandescent bulbs, and the bulbs have a lifespan that is almost limitless (50,000 hours!). Each magnifier comes with a set of 3 little snap-on filters that give 3 distinct lighting choices by softening the hue of the light. All Mobilux® LED hand-held magnifiers come with a slip-on protective cover, a high-quality spring-loaded battery compartment that makes replacing the batteries simple (2 AA batteries supplied), and a comfortable, ergonomic grip with an easy-to-use ON/OFF light switch. The #1512-5 Mobilux Hand-Held Magnifier is compatible with the #1511-002 Mobase stand, which is available separately. The Mobilux® LED hand-held magnifiers may be used as stand magnifiers with Mobase stands, and when they are upright, they can be utilized for hands-free work.
