Built of core wire and strong metal spring hinges, the James has a black frame with gun metal trim. There are six settings for magnification: +1.0, +1.5, +1.75 and +2.00 for a variety of magnification. The bottom of the lens has the most magnification power (for reading), and the top of the lens has a power that is half that of the bottom, with the centre of the lens having a degree of magnification in between. For instance, if the lens’s magnification is described as +2.50D, its bottom section will also be +2.50D, its top portion will be +1.25D, and its center portion will be around +1.88D. Remember that the greatest power in the lens is used to identify goods.
